Legislation: The
Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005 (FSO).
All employers must comply with the above legislation which states
that all employees must be given instruction/training of the
action to be taken in the event of a fire. If a fire started
on your premises now, would you and your staff know what to
do? Probably not.
By its very nature fire is frightening and when first encountered
can instill terror and even panic. The importance of training
is put into perspective when you consider that 63% of industry
and business property loss is caused by human error, inappropriate
action and not knowing what to do. An AB Fire Protection training
course helps familiarise your staff with all aspects of Fire
Procedure. The object of the training is to provide employees
with a good knowledge of effective fire fighting practices, including
the correct and safe use of portable Fire fighting appliances, and
of the procedures which should be adopted in the event of an
outbreak of fire.
